MME Department
Was founded in 2005 by merging of former chairs of:
- Machine Building Technology
- Materials Science and Heat Treatments
- Welding Equipment and Technology
The mission of MME department
According to the Chart of the Politehnica University of Timisoara:
- creation and synthesis of knowledge in the fields of Materials Engineering and Industrial Engineering by mean of advanced scientific and applicative research, development and innovation
- transfer of knowledge toward society using specific activities of initial or continuous formation, at academic and post-academic level, as well as dissemination by mean of publication and/or implementation
Accomplishment of department mission
I based on following actions:
- Academic training in the engineering field of materials and processing technologies
- Fundamental and applicative research for fabrication, processing and characterization of advanced and engineering materials
